The territory

The territory where our olive trees live occupies the peripheral areas of the south-western sector of the Vico volcano.

Blera itself stands on a spur made up of a massive bank of red tuff with black Vicano slag, deeply engraved by the Biedano stream and the Rio Canale.

Lava flows and volcanic deposits of pyroclastic flow emerge in the area. In some hilly reliefs, older sedimentary soils emerge from the volcanic blanket with marly limestone, clayey marl and sandstone.
