We introduce ourselves
It was 1965 when a group of 18 olive growers from Blera decided to join together to cut production costs and be able to purchase modern extraction plants. This is how our Colli Etruschi Agricultural Cooperative was born. The name is a tribute to this ancient land where the Etruscans brought the cultivation of the olive tree.
We grow up to be great
Between the end of the 80s and the beginning of the 90s we opened up to commercialization and comparison. To face the market in the best possible way, we have made new investments and thought about a total corporate reorganization by making a series of choices shared by the shareholders aimed at achieving high quality standards.
Many hands clasped together, the strength of cooperation
We believe in cooperation and in the ability to grow together by making available to members a common heritage of experience, technique and knowledge. The value of our cooperative is based on the importance we give to our land and our olive trees and on the possibility of guaranteeing dignity of work and remuneration on the product. This helps preserve agricultural land from abandonment. By keeping the rural population we protect the landscape and the possibility of a cultural enhancement of the places.
The care of our olive trees and the quality of the oil are a declaration of love for the area
Today we continue our shared project with our 330 members who cultivate over 40,000 plants spread over 800 hectares located in the Blera area and its immediate surroundings. The cultivars are the historical ones, which have always been rooted in these ancient Etruscan lands: Canino, Frantoio and Leccino. Large trees that breathe the sea breeze and sink their roots into the dark volcanic earth.
The Board of Directors and the director
The leadership of the Cooperative is entrusted to a Board of Directors made up of 5 members elected by the members every 3 years.
The director has the task of directing and following the technical choices of the Cooperative.
